Privacy Policy

Forge & Flourish (also displayed as Forge | Flourish) is operated by Marcus DePeal. This policy explains how information is handled when you use our iOS app or support website. For questions or privacy requests, contact mjdepeal@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Account and profile: your email address, authentication information, account identifier, username, display name, selected Forge or Flourish experience, and an optional profile photo. Supabase handles account authentication.
• Habits and activity: habits you create or import, their schedules, check-ins and completion history, and related preferences and timestamps.
• Community: partner relationships, group membership and invitations, sharing choices, prayer requests, prayer and encouragement messages, thanks, and related activity and notification records. Invitations may include a recipient’s email address or account identifier.
• Support: information you choose to email us, including your email address, issue description, and any attachments.
• Technical information: our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, request timestamps, device or browser information, and service or error logs to deliver and protect the services.

Habits, prayer requests, and messages can reveal religious beliefs, health concerns, or other sensitive details. Share only what you want the intended recipients to know, and avoid including other people’s sensitive information without their permission.

How we use information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts, synchronize your data, display habit progress, connect partners and groups, deliver messages and invitations, apply sharing preferences, provide reminders and notifications, respond to support requests, and maintain the reliability and security of the app.

We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or include advertising trackers in the app. Reflect’s daily quote selection does not require sending your private habits or messages to a generative AI service.

What other people can see

Profile information such as your username, display name, and profile photo may be visible when other members find or connect with you. Partners and group members can see the habits, history, and activity made available through the app’s sharing settings. Prayer and encouragement messages are available to their intended recipients; group-related activity may appear to members of the relevant group.

You can change sharing choices and manage relationships in the app. Changing access does not erase information someone has already viewed, copied, or saved. Notifications may display information on your device’s lock screen, depending on your iOS settings.

Service providers and other disclosures

We use Supabase for authentication, database services, and profile-photo storage. Providers supporting authentication emails, website hosting, and support email also process the information needed to perform those services. This support website is hosted using OpenAI Sites. Apple processes information associated with App Store distribution and its operating-system services under its own privacy practices.

Private messages are stored on our backend; “private” describes their intended audience within the app and does not mean end-to-end encrypted. Information may be accessed as needed to provide support, operate and secure the service, comply with legal obligations, or protect people’s rights and safety. Service providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate.

Your choices and account deletion

You can edit your profile, manage habits and sharing preferences, and control notifications through the app and iOS Settings. Profile photos are optional; only a photo you select for upload is sent for your profile.

Use the app’s Delete account option to request removal of your account and associated app data. Removing the app from your phone alone does not delete your cloud account. If you cannot access your account, need help with deletion, or want to request access to or correction of your information, email mjdepeal@gmail.com. We may need to verify account ownership before fulfilling a request. Do not send your password or verification codes.

Retention and security

We retain account information and saved app content while your account remains active and as needed to provide the service. When your account is deleted, we remove its associated data from active app systems. Limited information may remain in service logs or backups until their normal retention periods expire, or where needed to meet legal obligations, address security incidents, or resolve disputes. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle your request and related follow-up. Copies independently saved by other users are outside our control.

We use authenticated access and access controls to help protect information. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate parent or guardian consent, contact us so we can investigate and address the information, including deletion where appropriate.

This website

The support pages do not include advertising, analytics scripts added by us, or a contact form. Clicking an email link opens your email service, and sending an email shares the information you include with us and the email providers involved. The hosting provider may process technical request information to serve and secure these pages.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app or its practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required.
